Recently footage during investigation has been released that sheds light on the tragic death of a teenager boy at the U.S. border in 2013. The teenager was smuggling liquid methamphetamine into the country, pretending the two bottles contained juice, when he ingested the liquid at the request of the customs officers.

Cruz Velazquez was entering the United States at the San Ysidro Port of Entry near San Diego when he was stopped by the US Customs and Border Protection Agency. In his backpacK he was carried two drink bottles of an amber-coloured liquid , telling the officers that he was carrying apple juice.

He wasn’t believed and an initial test was carried on the liquid to discern whether it was dangerous. Regardless, the test isn’t effective at revealing liquid methamphetamine, than he was sent to a secondary inspection site. It was here that he sipped on the liquid in order to prove it was only apple juice.and in a while, he began quivering on the floor. He was taken into custody, then later rushed to hospital, where he died.
